Marti Wilson

Principal Lawyer

I was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Guelph. My law degree is from Queen's University Law School. I articled in Toronto with a boutique litigation firm and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992. In 1998, I headed out to Banff, Alberta, for a change of scenery and stayed for almost 13 years. I became a member of the Alberta Bar in 2004 and practised law with Eric Harvie Law Office in Banff from 2006 until 2011, when I moved back to Guelph to be closer to extended family and friends. I practised law with Ted Farley at Farley Law from 2011 to December 2016. I opened Wilson Law in January 2017. When I am not working, I enjoy volunteering at an animal sanctuary, playing golf, and following the Blue Jays!

Vasvi Shah

Associate Lawyer

Vasvi Shah is a dual qualified lawyer based in Ontario with over 10 years of combined legal experience in Ontario and India. Fluent in both English and Hindi, Vasvi is able to serve a diverse range of clients and provide legal assistance tailored to their individual needs. At Wilson Law, Vasvi practices in the areas of family law, child protection matters under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA), wills and estates, and corporate matters, including the preparation and maintenance of corporate minute books. Vasvi brings valuable litigation experience from both India and Ontario to her practice. Her international legal background and experience navigating different legal systems allow her to approach each matter with a broad perspective and a strong understanding of the needs of her clients. Outside of work, Vasvi enjoys spending time in nature and with her family. She loves exploring Canada's natural beauty, and visiting new places.

I was delighted to join the Wilson Law team in the spring of 2019. With more than 27 years of experience as a Law Clerk, specializing in real estate, corporate matters, and estates, I am committed to providing knowledgeable, efficient, and personalized support. I work closely with clients to understand their needs, assist with their legal matters, and ensure they are guided through the process with confidence. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two (now) adult children, doing karaoke and rediscovering my love of tap dancing.
